Why do they look familiar?

You may notice straight away that the Air Sonic goggles look familiar - and that’s because they closely resemble Arena’s Air Speed goggles.

They share a similar shape and concept, particularly with the gasket design. The Air Speed has long been a popular choice thanks to its comfort, with honeycomb seals that deform to apply even pressure around the eyes.

With the Air Sonic, Arena has taken what worked so well in the Air Speed and refined it into a slightly smaller, more competition-focused goggle. The reduced profile gives a sleeker, more race-ready look that will appeal to competitive swimmers for both training and racing. The Air Sonic also offers slightly improved peripheral vision thanks to the shape of the lenses.

Are they for me?

If you prefer a small to medium-sized goggle and want to maximise comfort - yes. These are a great choice if you already enjoy the Arena Air Speed or Speedo Speed Socket style of goggles.
