Nothing interrupts a good session like foggy goggles. One minute your lenses are clear, the next you can't read the clock and you're stopping mid-set to rinse them out.
This guide explains why swimming goggles fog up, how ZeroFog™ bonded nano coating works, how it compares to traditional anti-fog coatings and sprays, and how to care for your ZeroFog™ swimming goggles so they stay clear, session after session.

Why Do Swimming Goggles Fog Up?
Goggles fog when warm, moist air from your face meets the cooler lens. Tiny droplets form on the inside of the lens and scatter light, so your view turns cloudy. Every swimmer knows the moments:
- Mid-set: you can't see the pace clock
- Mid-race: your vision goes cloudy
- Before a start: you're rinsing, spitting and hoping
Condensation can't be avoided. What matters is how the water behaves once it forms.
How ZeroFog™ Anti-Fog Technology Works
ZeroFog™ is a plasma-applied nano coating that chemically bonds to the lens surface. It creates a superhydrophilic (water-loving) layer.
Instead of beading into droplets, condensation spreads into an even, invisible film. Light passes through that film without scattering, so your vision stays clear even when condensation forms. The coating is nano-thin, so it has no effect on what you see.
In short: ZeroFog™ doesn't try to stop water. It controls how water behaves.
Anti-Fog. Built Differently.
ZeroFog™ anti-fog swimming goggles use a nano coating bonded to the lens, so they stay clear long after ordinary anti-fog coatings have worn off. The coating has been lab-tested to 1,000 wipe cycles and is designed to stay effective through a full year of daily use.
Fog ends here. Most anti-fog goggles start clear and slowly fail. The coating washes off, scratches or wears away, often within weeks. ZeroFog™ takes a different approach, and it lasts.
Key Benefits of ZeroFog™ Goggles
- Super long life: designed to stay effective through a full year of daily use, far longer than traditional coatings
- Bonded, not sprayed on: the coating is part of the lens surface, so it doesn't rinse or wear off
- Wipe resistant: lab-tested to 1,000 wipe cycles without fog failure and 1,000 alcohol wipes without degradation
- No compromise on vision: over 99% light transmission
- Built for heat and humidity: no fog after 240 hours of high heat and humidity testing
- UV resistant: no loss of anti-fog performance from sun exposure, plus UV-protective lenses
- Reactivates: if performance drops, wet the lens and gently rub to bring it back
ZeroFog™ vs Traditional Anti-Fog Coatings
Traditional anti-fog coatings sit on the surface of the lens, which is why they wash off, scratch and fade. Here's how ZeroFog™ compares.
| Traditional anti-fog coatings | ZeroFog™ nano coating | |
|---|---|---|
| How it's applied | Sits on top of the lens | Plasma-applied and chemically bonded to the lens |
| Durability | Washes off quickly and scratches easily | Highly durable, tested to 1,000 wipe cycles |
| Typical lifespan | Days to a few months | Designed for a full year of daily use |
| Wiping the lens | Wipes the coating away | Resists wiping and cleaning |
| When it fades | Usually replace the goggles | Reactivate it |
Certified and Independently Tested
ZeroFog™ goggles carry CE and UKCA marking and are REACH compliant, with SGS testing and FDA registration. They are made in a BSCI-audited factory by an ISO 9001-certified manufacturer.
Clear vision. Session after session.
Care and Reactivation
Activate Before First Use
- Peel off the "Protective Film - Remove Before Use" sticker.
- Wet the lenses.
- Gently rub the inside of each lens to activate the ZeroFog™ coating.
Reactivate
Whenever the lenses stop clearing as quickly as they did, wet the lenses and gently rub again.
Do
- Adjust the strap and nose bridge for a correct fit
- Rinse in fresh water and store your goggles dry
- Keep them in the case between sessions
Avoid
- Scratching the lenses with sharp objects
- Contact with oils and suncream, and leaving salt water on the lenses (rinse after open-water swims)

Fog doesn't have to be part of your session. With a coating that's bonded to the lens rather than sprayed on top, ZeroFog™ goggles stay clear when others fog - from the first warm-up to the final rep.
