Features and Description

Step onto the blocks feeling supported, streamlined, and ready to race in the Speedo Women’s Fastskin LZR Pure Valor 2.0 Openback Kneeskin. Developed by swimmers for swimmers, this next-generation Fastskin race suit is built for competitive swimmers who want a balance of moderate compression and freedom of movement.

Made from lightweight material, the Pure Valor 2.0 is designed to support a greater range of movement while still delivering the secure, compressive feel expected from a technical racing kneeskin. The open back design allows excellent freedom through the shoulders and back, making it a strong choice for swimmers who prefer a less restrictive fit or have a more arched back position in the water.

Performance details are built into every part of the suit. A compressive inner leg seam helps support the muscles during racing, while dual layering around the abs provides added core stability when starts, turns, and finishes matter most. Flat bonded seams and improved finishes help promote optimal hydrodynamics, and the new long-lasting water-repellent finish is designed to help the suit stay smooth and fast through the water and increase buoyancy.

Frequently Asked Questions

The openback design is best suited to swimmers who want greater freedom of movement through the back and shoulders. It may also be preferred by swimmers with arched backs, as the openback offers added freedom of movement.

This suit provides moderate compression. That makes it a strong option for swimmers who want muscle support, core stability and a secure race-day fit without choosing the most restrictive level of compression available.

Yes, it is designed to support stability while racing. The dual layering around the abs helps provide greater core stability, while the compressive inner leg seam is designed to offer additional muscle support.

This suit is best kept for racing and important competition sessions. As a technical racing kneeskin with compression, bonded seams and a water-repellent finish, it is designed for race-day performance rather than everyday swim training.

  1. Psychological - feeling stronger and ready to  race makes the biggest difference
  2. Compression - keeps your body in a streamlined shape and aids blood flow when exerting power.
  3. Reducing Drag - materials are designed to be slippery through the water and reduce drag.
  4. Buoyancy - repelling the water can trap a thin layer of air that keeps your body higher out of the water.

Chlorine is the enemy. Flushing out the chlorine as soon as possible after you race by lightly squeezing under cold water for around 60 seconds. Dry laying flat without heat from radiators or hair dryers. Do not use detergent or put in the washing machine - a droplet or 2 of liquid soap every once in a while with you cold water rinse is enough.

The Valor 2.0 is an all round suit due to its balance of compression and flexibility. The Speedo Intent 2.0 is the super high compression alternative.
